Telescopic Hydraulic Cylinder, also referred to as multi-stage hydraulic cylinder or combined hydraulic cylinder, is a highly practical multi-stage hydraulic solution designed for heavy-duty lifting applications.
Our telescopic hydraulic cylinders are available in various configurations:
- Telescopic stages: 2, 3, 4, and 5-stage cylinders
- Operation types: Single-acting and double-acting multi-stage hydraulic cylinders
The operation type determines the number of liquid supply cycles required to complete one working cycle.
Telescopic hydraulic cylinders consist of two or more piston-type hydraulic cylinders arranged in a nested configuration, where the piston rod of the preceding cylinder serves as the cylinder barrel for the subsequent one.
Extension Sequence: When pressure oil enters the rodless cavity, the cylinder with the largest effective piston area extends first. Upon reaching its endpoint, the cylinder with the next largest effective area begins extension. This sequential extension from largest to smallest enables exceptionally long working strokes.
